Growth Mindset Changes Everything for Consultants

Do you have the right mindset to become a successful entrepreneur?

In this video, I break down how to develop a growth mindset for entrepreneurship and explain why successful entrepreneurs aren’t necessarily more confident, outgoing, or comfortable with risk. They learn how to respond differently when things get difficult.

For years, I thought certain things simply weren’t for me. I wasn’t good at sales. Networking felt awkward. Negotiating made me uncomfortable. And like many professionals transitioning into entrepreneurship, I sometimes treated those struggles as evidence of what I was capable of.

I eventually learned something that changed the way I approached business:

Difficulty isn’t a verdict. It’s information about what you need to learn next.

After a devastating layoff, I went on to build 7 businesses, generate more than $70 million in revenue, and scale my consulting firm, e-Nor, to 8 figures before selling it.

I didn’t start with all the skills I needed. I had to develop them.

In this video, you’ll learn:

  • Why smart professionals convince themselves they’re “not entrepreneurial”
  • How a fixed mindset can quietly hold back your business
  • Why I avoided sales—and how that made the problem worse
  • Why confidence often comes AFTER developing competence
  • How successful entrepreneurs use curiosity instead of certainty
  • Why action beats perfection when you’re starting a business
  • How to focus on responsibility instead of blame
  • 5 practical habits for developing an entrepreneurial growth mindset

Whether you’re starting a consulting business, leaving corporate, building a side business, or trying to become a stronger entrepreneur or professional, these principles can help you approach sales, marketing, networking, negotiation, and other uncomfortable skills differently.

You don’t have to be born an entrepreneur.

You have to be willing to become a beginner, learn the skills, get feedback, and keep practicing.
